La Rijana

La Rijana is a Mediterranean beach in Gualchos with dark sand and a length of roughly 250 meters (820 feet). Mountain terrain and rocky cliffs frame the shore, creating a distinctive coastal setting.

This beach has served as a natural harbor for local fishing boats over the centuries. It formed a maritime link between the communities of Calahonda and Castell del Ferro.

This part of the Costa Tropical draws locals and visitors who seek a simpler beach experience away from crowded resort areas. People come here to swim and spend time by the water in a more laid-back setting.

The beach is accessed via stepped pathways from the N-340 road, with parking available for 50 to 100 vehicles. The access is straightforward and works well for a day visit.

The rocky seabed creates excellent conditions for divers and sport fishers. This underwater environment attracts enthusiasts who want to explore beyond the sandy shore.
