Playa La Romanilla

Playa La Romanilla is a beach in Roquetas de Mar with dark sandy shores and moderate waves that stretches for about 1.5 kilometers along the coast. The shore offers Mediterranean views and facilities including showers, toilets, sun lounger rentals, and designated areas for water sports.

The beach transformed from a traditional fishing area into a modern coastal destination as tourism grew in Almería during the 1960s. This shift brought new infrastructure and recreational facilities that reshaped how people use the shore.

The seafront restaurants showcase traditional Andalusian fish dishes that reflect the region's long connection to the Mediterranean and fishing life. Walking along the promenade, you experience how the coastal way of life still influences daily dining and socializing.

The Real Club Náutico sits at the edge of the beach and runs a sailing school offering courses throughout the year. This school allows both locals and visitors to learn traditional sailing skills in a working maritime setting.
