Oazuś, Dwarf statue in Tarnogaj, Poland
The bronze figure of Oazuś stands at the intersection of residential streets in Tarnogaj district, adding character to the neighborhood landscape.
The statue was installed on February 2, 2016, joining over 400 dwarf sculptures that populate the streets and squares of Wrocław.
The dwarf represents the continuation of a local tradition that started as protest art against communist control in the 1980s in Wrocław.
Visitors can locate Oazuś using a dedicated mobile application that maps all dwarf statues throughout the districts of Wrocław.
The statue forms part of an urban art collection that makes Wrocław the city with the largest number of public dwarf sculptures in Poland.
