Holy Spirit church in Wrocław, Church building in Wrocław, Poland
Holy Spirit church is a church building in Wrocław with a hexagonal floor plan designed to hold about 600 seated worshippers and about 1,400 standing visitors. The interior includes classrooms, a bell tower, and an organ built in 1989 for services and musical performances.
The current building replaced an earlier church from 1928 designed by Hermann Pfafferott that was damaged in World War II. The damaged structure was demolished in the 1950s before this new church was constructed.
The building combines Gothic elements familiar to Wrocław churches with modern design approaches that feel contemporary. Inside, the space serves both spiritual gatherings and performances that draw people together.
The building is accessible for visitors to enter and explore the different spaces inside. Note that regular services and events take place here, so timing your visit around these activities may enhance your experience.
The exterior has been updated in recent years with polystyrene insulation and decorative plasterwork. These modifications show how the building was adapted to meet modern construction standards while keeping its essential character.
