Pofajdok Skate, Dwarf statue at Mazurian Pofajdoks Trail, Szczytno, Poland
Pofajdok Skate is a statue of a small figure performing skateboarding tricks on a board. The sculpture combines traditional dwarf elements with modern street culture and stands as one of thirteen Pofajdok figures spread across the town center.
The series of thirteen Pofajdok statues was installed starting in 2008 throughout Szczytno. These works brought regional folklore characters to the town as a way to honor local heritage.
The Pofajdoks come from local Warmian-Masurian folklore and represent mischievous young men from regional stories. They appear throughout the town as characters that residents recognize from their cultural heritage.
This statue is located near Lake Domowe Małe and sits along a marked walking route that connects all the Pofajdok figures. Following the trail offers an easy way to explore the town center while seeing the complete collection.
This statue shows a modern twist on traditional folk figures by depicting an old character type with a skateboard. It is one of the few Pofajdoks that displays a contemporary hobby, blending folklore with current street culture.
