Camping Allweglehen
Camping Allweglehen is a terraced campground in Berchtesgaden with views of surrounding mountains and forests. The site features modern sanitary facilities, a heated outdoor pool, several saunas, a restaurant serving regional food, and accommodation options ranging from tents and motorhomes to comfortable wooden lodges.
The site originated from the traditional use of the mountain land as an alpine pasture and was later developed into a modern campground. The facility has been continuously modernized and expanded in recent years while maintaining its connection to the region's alpine heritage.
The name Allweglehen comes from local dialect and refers to the historical use of the land as an alpine pasture. Visitors can see this connection to mountain traditions in how the site is designed and in the regional food served at the restaurant.
The site is reached via the steep B305 road from Berchtesgaden, with signposts and narrow sections of road, so planning arrival ahead is recommended. With a guest card, visitors can use regional buses free of charge, including the Ramsau stop nearby, making exploration of the area easier.
The site served as a filming location for the television series Watzmann ermittelt, with some scenes shot near the campground. Visitors can explore the area while spotting where famous scenes were filmed and discovering the landscape through the lens of the show.
