Campingplatz Loreleyblick
Camping Loreleyblick is a campsite on the Rhine River in Sankt Goar, stretching about one kilometer with roughly 350 pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes. The site includes bathroom buildings with heated floors, hot water facilities, washing machines, a small shop, power connections at each pitch, and free WiFi in select areas.
The campsite developed as tourism grew in the Upper Rhine Valley, which became famous as a destination in the 19th century. The location was chosen to give visitors access to the Loreley, nearby castles, and the Rhine River itself.
The name refers to the famous Loreley rock formation, which has inspired artists and travelers for centuries as a symbol of the Rhine Valley. Visitors here connect with a landscape that shows the historical importance of the Rhine as a cultural and economic center of the region.
The campsite is open year-round and you can arrive without reservations to choose your own pitch, as the space is spacious enough to accommodate most visitors. The site is easily accessible from the B9 highway, and the check-in process is straightforward with helpful staff available to answer questions.
The campsite sits so close to the Rhine that you can watch ships pass from many pitches, while trains run on nearby tracks that are also visible. This immediate proximity to both river and rail traffic creates noise, especially at night, but many visitors accept this as the trade-off for having direct views of the water.
