Camping Salinello
Camping Salinello is a campground on the Adriatic coast in Tortoreto, in the Abruzzo region of Italy, offering pitches for tents and caravans as well as bungalows and mobile homes. The grounds sit within a pine forest that provides shade throughout the day, directly next to a private beach.
The campground was founded more than 40 years ago and has grown steadily since then into one of the better-known holiday sites on this stretch of the Adriatic. Over the years the facilities were gradually expanded while the pine forest was kept intact.
Tortoreto sits on the Adriatic coast, and the sea shapes daily life here in ways a visitor quickly notices, from fishing boats in the morning to beach bars busy in the evening. The private beach attached to the site is a natural meeting point where guests of all ages spend most of their day.
The site is easiest to reach by car, and it is well signposted from the main coastal road. The beach is only a short walk from any part of the grounds, so no transportation is needed once you arrive.
The private beach holds the Blue Flag award, a European certification renewed each year based on water quality and beach management standards. Few campgrounds along this part of the coast can claim both direct beach access and that level of certification at the same time.
