Camping Valdemorillo is a campground nestled in a forested area near Madrid at around 800 meters elevation. The site offers more than a hundred separate plots distributed among shade trees, providing space for both tents and recreational vehicles.
The campground was established in the 1960s as part of growing leisure infrastructure around Madrid. It was developed to give visitors from the city easy access to nature and nearby attractions like El Escorial.
The campground serves as a meeting point for nature enthusiasts who gather to share experiences and participate in traditional Spanish outdoor activities.
The site sits on the C-600 road between El Escorial and Brunete and is accessible year-round. Visitors should note that the terrain is hilly with some plots sitting on steeper slopes than others.
The plots are designed so water drains naturally while creating level surfaces for tents and motorhomes. This drainage system allows the site to remain dry even during heavy rain.
