Tajo Rodillo, Campground in Grazalema, Spain.
Tajo Rodillo is a campground spread across 12 hectares within Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, with 175 pitches distributed among forested slopes. The pitches include access to water and sanitary facilities along with designated barbecue areas.
The campground was established in the late 20th century as Andalusia shifted its focus toward outdoor tourism and recreation. This development allowed more people to access the region's mountain landscapes and protected natural areas.
The campsite serves as a starting point to discover the white villages of Cadiz province, including nearby Ubrique and Setenil de las Bodegas with their typical whitewashed houses.
The site is accessible daily from 8:00 to 22:00 and features adequate parking along with pathways from the entrance to the pitches. The best times to visit are spring and autumn months when temperatures are mild and hiking trails are easily accessible.
The site sits at elevation within the natural park and offers direct access to numerous hiking trails and climbing routes that traverse the surrounding mountains. Visitors can head into nature directly from their pitches without needing lengthy travel times.
