Los Cantiles

Los Cantiles is a campground positioned along the cliffs of the Asturian coast, with direct access to both sandy beaches and rocky coves. The site has over 500 camping spots equipped with hot showers, laundry facilities, and internet service throughout the grounds.

The facility opened in 1960 and played a role in developing tourism in the Luarca area of northern Spain. Its location was selected to give visitors access to the natural coastal features that define the region.

The location is part of a region where communities have long depended on the sea and local agriculture, shaping how people use the coast today. You can sense this connection in the laid-back rhythm of the area and the way locals interact with the landscape.

The campground sits roughly 1.5 kilometers from Luarca town and beaches, making it easy to reach by car or motorhome. Most visitors drive around the grounds to find their spots and then walk to nearby beaches or town amenities.

No permanent caravans are allowed on the grounds, which keeps all spots available for temporary visitors throughout the season. This approach sets it apart from other campgrounds where some plots might be occupied year-round.
