Càmping Toro Azul, Coastal campground in Arenys de Mar, Spain.
Toro Azul is a coastal campsite with around 180 pitches located roughly 50 meters from the Mediterranean Sea and offering direct beach access. The site spreads across about three hectares and includes facilities for motorhomes and caravans plus traditional camping zones.
The campsite emerged as part of tourism development along the Costa del Maresme in the late 20th century when Spain's coast was being developed. This period shaped the expansion of beach holiday options across the entire region.
The on-site restaurant serves regional fish dishes sourced from local fishing boats, reflecting Catalan coastal cooking traditions. Visitors can taste dishes that have been popular along this shore for generations.
The site stays open year-round and offers pitches ranging from 50 to 80 square meters (540 to 860 square feet), accommodating various tent sizes and vehicle types. Proximity to the town makes it easy to reach supermarkets and other services on foot or a short drive.
A highlight is the small petting zoo on the grounds where children can get close to farm animals while being just a short walk from the beach. This mix of animals and sea makes the place especially appealing for family visits.
