Molí de l'Ombria, Riverside campground in Banyeres de Mariola, Spain
Molí de l'Ombria is a campground set along the Vinalopó River in Banyeres de Mariola. Tall poplar and willow trees line the grounds, providing natural shade throughout the year.
The site takes its name from a paper mill built in 1777 that shaped the industrial past of Banyeres de Mariola. This facility was central to local production for many generations.
Local youth programs sponsored by the Consell Valencià de la Joventut organize regular activities that promote environmental education and community engagement at the campsite.
The site accommodates approximately 60 tents and provides basic facilities like showers, toilets, and drinking water. Plenty of shade from trees makes daytime stays comfortable in warm weather.
Two walking routes depart directly from the grounds, one exploring abandoned mill sites and another leading to elevated viewpoints. These paths blend the camping experience with discovery of the surrounding region.
