Càmping de Vidrà, Mountain campground in Vidrà, Spain
Càmping de Vidrà is a campground in the Catalan Pyrenees set across three natural hillside terraces at about 982 meters elevation. The site provides roughly 110 grass pitches shaded by trees, swimming pools, hot water facilities, and barbecue areas.
This campground was established as a lodging option in the Catalan mountains while keeping the natural landscape intact. Its creation opened up the mountain scenery to visitors who might not otherwise experience this remote area.
The on-site bar and rotisserie serves food made from local farm ingredients prepared in the style of Catalan mountain cooking. You can taste how this region combines simple fresh produce with traditional recipes.
The site is typically open from mid-January through mid-December, with the warmer months being most comfortable for camping. Bring sturdy footwear for forest paths, since several trails lead to mountain viewpoints and waterfalls.
Beyond standard tent pitches, the grounds offer Hobbit-style bungalows shaped like small hillside cottages with a whimsical design. These dwellings provide comfortable indoor sleeping while fitting playfully into the forest setting.
