Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg
Doloris Meta Maze Tilburg is a large indoor maze containing more than 40 rooms designed with mysterious objects and hidden passages throughout. The structure spans approximately 400 square meters with varying levels and pathways that allow visitors to climb and explore at their own pace.
The maze was created by Berlin-based artists and initiated by Joep van Gorp, who brought the concept to Tilburg. The design team spent months developing the project in collaboration with local creatives to bring this distinctive artistic installation to life.
The maze serves as a gathering space for people seeking fresh perspectives and creative experiences. Visitors move through rooms at their own pace, each discovering something different and forming their own interpretation of the space.
A visit typically takes between 30 minutes and an hour depending on your pace, with visitors free to spend more time if they wish. Emergency exits and buttons are clearly marked, allowing you to leave at any moment if you feel uncomfortable in dark or confined spaces.
Visitors begin blindfolded and exchange a golden coin before entering, turning the experience into a ritual that feels like crossing into another world. Photography is prohibited to preserve the element of surprise and ensure each person discovers the space independently.
