Bok Bar is a rooftop bar occupying the eighth floor of a historic industrial building with a large open-air terrace offering views across much of the city and surrounding region. The establishment serves cocktails, natural wines, craft beers, and Korean-Mexican fusion dishes.
The building originally served as a factory and car repair shop before being converted into a mixed-use space. Its industrial past remains visible in the architecture and overall character of the structure.
The space hosts rotating chef residencies and experimental events like DJ sets and drag performances that support local artists and the neighborhood's creative community. Visitors experience regularly changing shows and parties that reflect Philadelphia's artistic scene.
The bar is open Wednesday through Sunday and only accepts walk-ins without reservations. Visitors should plan flexibly and expect it can fill up during popular hours.
The project was originally built in just four weeks with a small team of twelve people. Since then it has evolved over seven years of experimentation into a popular summer gathering place.
