Maison couleur du temps, Museum and artwork in Venas, France.
The Maison couleur du temps features giant figurative murals exploring the four seasons and four ages of life, with interior installations including a canopy bed decorated according to seasons and renewed every three months.
Created by painter Chop who has lived there since May 1970, this artistic residence was developed as a permanent exhibition space blending traditional architecture with contemporary creations around the theme of time.
The site organizes demonstrations in 18th-century costumes on the first Sunday of each season, offering visitors an immersion into the history and clothing traditions of this significant historical period.
Guided tours last approximately one hour and are offered from 3 PM to 7 PM during tourist season, with closure from November to March for preparing future exhibitions and maintaining displayed works.
The exterior facade and interior spaces remain visible year-round from outside, allowing passersby to appreciate the mural creations even when interior access is closed to the public.
