View Point, Ottakathalamedu is a scenic viewpoint in Idukki, India, perched on a high ridge where the land drops away to wide valleys and wooded hills. From the open ground, you can look across Thekkady Lake and trace the folds of the mountain sides as they roll toward the next state.
The ridge has long been known as a natural lookout, used by local people to scan the valleys and the lake below before roads made the area easier to reach. Over time, simple visitor facilities were added, but the site has kept its open, undeveloped character.
