Amazon is a company headquarters in Arlington, United States, serving as the second major office complex for the technology company. The site includes several modern glass towers rising over 20 stories, surrounded by parks and public areas with art installations.
The company selected Arlington in November 2018 after reviewing 238 proposals from across North America for its second headquarters location. Construction started in 2019 and the first phase with Metropolitan Park opened in June 2023, accommodating around 14,000 workers.
The site sits close to Metro stations, bus routes, and a pedestrian bridge to the national airport, making travel straightforward for visitors. Public parks and walkways around the buildings are open to everyone and can be explored freely.
A future double-spiral glass structure called The Helix will feature trees and public pathways, allowing visitors to walk through a vertical park. An art piece called Queen City in Metropolitan Park honors the Black community that once lived in the area.
