EXPO Bridge
EXPO Bridge is an arched bridge crossing the Gap River in Daejeon, connecting different neighborhoods including Manyeon-dong. The structure features two flowing arches supported by iron ties, designed for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Built in 1993, the bridge marked an important transportation development for Daejeon, creating new connections to the Expo site and surrounding areas. Its construction coincided with a period of city growth and modernization.
The bridge is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle and well-served by public transportation. Visit in the morning or evening when lighting highlights the structure and traffic is lighter, making for a more pleasant crossing.
At night, the bridge lights up with illumination that highlights its arches against the dark sky, creating a colorful display. This lighting design makes it a popular photography spot and a special sight for evening visitors.
