Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club

Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club is a jazz club in a brick building in London's City of Westminster. The interior has warm, inviting lighting with vintage velvet booths and a stage ready for live performances, while the space remains cozy and never overcrowded.

Founded in 1959 by British saxophonist Ronnie Scott and musician Pete King, it became the first place in the UK to host American jazz musicians. After Scott died in 1996, Pete King continued running it until Sally Greene and Michael Watt purchased it in 2005.

The name honors its British saxophonist founder, whose personality shaped the place and how people gather here. Visitors experience today how musicians and fans come together in a familiar setting where music is a shared joy.

The club is located in Soho near Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road stations for easy access. Most nights feature at least two shows, with earlier opening on weekdays and later hours on weekends, allowing visitors flexibility in planning.

Jimi Hendrix gave his last public performance here in 1970, a historic moment forever anchored in these walls. The club also founded its own record label in 1978 that continues to release recordings from performances and new music.
