Thermes de Pietrapola
The Thermes de Pietrapola are thermal baths built over a spring called De la Rastello, which delivers water at about 56 degrees Celsius (133 Fahrenheit). The facility contains pools, treatment rooms with water massages, steam baths, and heated blanket therapies designed to ease muscle and joint discomfort.
Thermal waters from this site have been used for many years by people from surrounding areas who believed in their healing properties. After a temporary closure, the facility was rebuilt with modern amenities and reopened with careful monitoring following a bacterial contamination incident in 2019.
The thermal baths carry a name rooted in the local landscape and the natural spring that feeds them. This place serves as a gathering point where people come to spend quiet time in the warm waters and pursue natural healing practices together.
The facility opens from late April through mid-November and operates from early morning until evening, making it easy to plan visits. It is advisable to bring your own towels and bathing supplies, and reaching the site by car is straightforward with parking available on-site.
The water from the De la Rastello spring is rich in sulfur and other minerals that flow naturally from underground and have been known for their healing effects across generations. Many visitors report feeling a noticeable sense of relief and ease that extends beyond their time spent at the baths.
