Rezerwat Nad Tanwią
Rezerwat Nad Tanwią is a protected nature area near the Tanwia River in the village of Huta Różaniecka. The terrain is mostly flat with gentle slopes and marked trails that pass through reeds, willow trees, and dense grasses that provide habitat for birds and insects.
The reserve was established in 1958 to protect the river landscape and its natural vegetation. Previously, the area was used for farming and timber gathering, but local people gradually recognized the need to preserve the natural environment.
The name refers to the Tanwia River that flows through the landscape. Visitors notice how locals value this quiet space as a place to reconnect with nature away from daily life.
Access is via local roads and the trails are straightforward to walk. Visitors should follow the rules: do not pick plants, do not disturb animals, and stay on marked paths to protect the environment.
The area is home to rare plant species like coral-colored elder and alpine currant that are not common in this region. These unusual plants make the place particularly interesting for nature enthusiasts.
