Riva 's Waterfall

Riva's Waterfall consists of three cascades in South Tyrol fed by the Riva River, which flows from high mountain glaciers. The falls drop 10, 15, and 50 meters over rocky terrain, flowing through a gorge surrounded by dense forest and steep woodland paths.

These cascades are natural formations that have long been part of South Tyrol's alpine landscape. Over time, the area has been adapted for electricity generation, with small hydroelectric stations built nearby while preserving the natural setting.

The waterfalls have been part of local stories for generations, serving as a place where people connect with nature and find moments of calm. Visitors today experience the same peaceful setting that villagers and travelers have valued for many years.

The area is free and open year-round with multiple trails offering various viewpoints and rest areas along the paths. Bring rain gear as spray from the water can reach nearby areas, and wear sturdy shoes since rocky sections and steep grades make footing unpredictable.

A special attraction is the Fly-Line Waterfall, a zipline stretching about 900 meters that takes visitors from the top waterfall to the bottom in roughly 5 to 6 minutes. This thrilling ride offers a perspective of the cascades and surrounding valley that few other experiences provide.
