Termas de Arnedillo

Termas de Arnedillo are natural hot springs in a small village with several outdoor bathing pools built in stone. The water emerges from the ground at about 50 degrees Celsius and flows through the pools alongside the Cidacos River, cooling to about 35 degrees in the farthest basins.

These hot springs have been known since Roman times and were valued for their reputed healing properties. For centuries, people traveled to the area seeking relief from ailments and the health benefits of bathing in the warm waters.

The springs have been part of the community for generations, with locals passing down traditions of healing and relaxation through the waters. This place reflects a simple bond between people and nature that continues today through regular use and care of the natural pools.

Access is free and available at any time of day or night. Start with the cooler pools and gradually move toward the hotter ones, limiting time in the hottest water to about 20 minutes before alternating with cold water for a refreshing contrast.

The water comes from extremely deep underground and emerges at high temperature, creating a natural temperature gradient system across the pools. Visitors can move between basins to find their preferred bathing temperature without any artificial heating or cooling technology.
