Weingut Fritz Wieninger is a family-run winery located in Stammersdorf, Vienna's 21st district, surrounded by vineyard land. The building features centuries-old vaulted cellars with brick archways alongside modern design touches, including a bright tasting room with wooden barrel chairs and displays of soil samples.

The winery was founded in the 18th century by Fritz Wieninger's great-grandfather and has remained a family operation ever since. Fritz took over the business from his mother in 1987 and expanded it to cover around 45 hectares of land.

The winery's name carries generations of Vienna's wine-making heritage and is known throughout the city. Visitors experience how traditional Viennese wine culture operates today, from the barrel-wood chairs in the tasting room to soil displays explaining Vienna's different vineyard zones.

The winery played a key role in reviving the traditional Wiener Gemischter Satz DAC, a mixed wine that was historically simple and affordable.
