Bar Les Ambassadeurs is a bar inside the Hôtel de Crillon, on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, housed in an 18th-century building. The room mixes original marble walls and painted ceilings with modern velvet armchairs, round tables with metal and crystal details, and a horseshoe-shaped counter at its center.
The Hôtel de Crillon, where the bar is located, was built in the 18th century as a palace for the Count of Crillon. After extensive renovations, the hotel reopened in 2017 as part of the Four Seasons group, and the bar took on its current form at that time.
The bar takes its name from the hotel, which once served as a meeting place for diplomats and ambassadors. Today, hotel guests, travelers, and locals gather here to enjoy cocktails in a room where history and the present sit side by side.
The bar is on the ground floor of the Hôtel de Crillon, directly on the Place de la Concorde, and is easy to reach on foot from the city center. Evenings are the best time to visit, when live music plays and the lighting is softer; daytime visits are quieter.
Designer Chahan Minassian added metal chains to the original historic chandeliers to give the room a touch of rock and roll. On some evenings, a DJ like Mike D from the Beastie Boys plays in this 18th-century palace.
