Moda Coastal Park is a seaside park in the Caferağa Mahallesi neighborhood of Kadıköy, on the Asian side of Istanbul, facing the Marmara Sea. It combines grassy areas, paved walking paths, and rocky spots along the shoreline, with small trees offering some shade along the way.
The area around Moda was once a small fishing spot at the edge of the city before it was gradually absorbed into Istanbul's urban fabric. Over time the shoreline shifted from a working waterfront to a place where residents come to spend free time by the water.
The park sits in a neighborhood known for its cafes and small shops, and it draws locals who meet friends or grab a snack from vendors walking through the green areas. In the evening, people gather along the rocky shore to watch the lights of the historical peninsula across the water.
The park is easy to reach on foot from the central Kadıköy market area, and public buses and ferries also connect nearby. There are no large facilities inside the park itself, so it helps to bring water and a snack before entering.
From the rocky sections of the shoreline, visitors have a clear line of sight to the illuminated historical peninsula of Istanbul on the European side, visible across the Marmara Sea at night.
