Église Sainte-Trinité, Catholic church in Gavray-sur-Sienne, France

The Église Sainte-Trinité is a Catholic church in Gavray-sur-Sienne, a town in the Manche department of Normandy, France. The building has a central nave flanked by two narrower side aisles, a transept, a choir ending in a cut-sided apse, and a bell tower on the west end.

Construction began in 1875 and was completed in 1899, shortly after the bell tower was finished in 1898. On October 1, 1899, Bishop Joseph Guérard consecrated the building, marking the end of a project that had taken the local community more than two decades to complete.

The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, a central concept in Catholic faith, which reflects its role as a parish anchor for the surrounding area. Inside, wall paintings from 1935 by Charles Rocher de Gérigné depict Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Joan of Arc, and can still be seen by visitors today.

The church sits in the center of Gavray, the main town of Gavray-sur-Sienne, and is easy to find from the surrounding streets. Visiting during the day is a good idea, as natural light coming through the windows makes the interior paintings much easier to see.

The octagonal sacristy stands as a separate structure connected to the main building by a small corridor, which is unusual for a village church of this size. In 2020, a new altar was consecrated, and it contains a relic from the former church of Saint-Paul de Granville.
