Côte Centrale is a wide sandy beach on the Baltic Sea coast in the northern part of Kołobrzeg, Poland. The shoreline is flat and almost free of rocks, with fine sand and a broad waterfront that allows for long walks along the water's edge.
Kołobrzeg has long been a seaside town, and its beach changed considerably over the decades as the coastline faced erosion. A major restoration project was completed in 2014, widening the beach and stabilizing the shore through underwater structures and added sand.
The beach is a gathering point for locals and visitors during the warmer months, with beach volleyball, shell collecting, and evening walks being common activities. The shoreline fills with families in the afternoon and gradually quiets down toward sunset.
The beach is easy to reach on foot from Kołobrzeg's town center, with parking and nearby cafes and shops. In summer, lifeguards are usually on duty, and arriving in the morning helps you find a quieter spot before the crowds grow.
Just beneath the water's surface, an artificial barrier was built about 100 meters from the shore to keep the sand from washing away. This structure is invisible from the beach but changes how waves arrive, making the water shallower and calmer for swimmers.
