パーク獅子吼, Park in Hakusan, Japan

Park Shishiku (パーク獅子吼) is a leisure park set on Shishiku Plateau in the city of Hakusan, Japan. It consists of several buildings and outdoor areas, including exhibition halls, barbecue spots, walking paths, and a gondola that carries visitors up to the mountain top.

Shishiku Plateau has long been a gathering point for locals, especially during festivals. Over time, the area was developed into an organized park, and the gondola was added to make the mountain top more accessible to visitors.

The Lions World Hall inside the park displays giant wooden lion heads and plush lions from around the world. A separate craft hall houses large festival floats that are brought out and paraded through the streets during local celebrations.

The park is about a 40-minute drive south from the Hakusan interchange, and a parking lot is available on site. In winter, the park closes earlier and the gondola does not run, so it is worth checking the schedule before you go.

The park is home to a pair of carved wooden lion figures said to be among the largest of their kind in Japan. These are not just displays but reflect a living craft tradition that continues in the region today.
