Hakuba 47 is a ski resort in the village of Hakuba, at the foot of the North Alps in Nagano, Japan. It offers runs for all skill levels, a snow park with jumps, rails and boxes, and a Tree Riding Zone for navigating through the forest.
The Hakuba area gained wide international attention after hosting alpine ski events during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. Hakuba 47 grew alongside this boom, gradually adding facilities to welcome a growing number of visitors from Japan and abroad.
Lift tickets can be bought online in advance, which tends to be cheaper than purchasing on the day at the resort. Equipment rental is available on-site, and staff speak basic English, making it straightforward for international visitors.
