Legoland Shanghai, Theme park in Fengjing, Shanghai, China
Legoland Shanghai is a theme park in Fengjing, Jinshan District, Shanghai, China. It features eight themed areas with over 75 interactive rides and attractions, including roller coasters, a 60-meter observation tower, and thousands of Lego models built from more than 85 million bricks.
The resort was first planned for Dianshan Lake in Qingpu, but in 2019 the location was moved to Jinshan District. Construction began in late 2021, and the park opened to the public in July 2025.
The park includes a themed area inspired by the Monkey King and Journey to the West, with a live show and a boat tour through a Lego-built water town and Shanghai skyline. These elements mix the classic Legoland experience with Chinese stories and settings that children recognize.
The park is about 1 km from Jinshan North railway station, with a shuttle bus looping between them throughout the day. Wear comfortable shoes because the grounds are large and you will walk a lot between the themed areas.
The park is the largest Legoland in the world at the time of its opening. Its hotel facade is decorated with Lego bricks scaled up 450 times, and the building has 250 themed rooms.
