Reduta Theatre

Reduta Theatre is a baroque building on Zelný Square with three separate performance spaces of different sizes. The main auditorium holds about 286 seats, Mozart Hall holds about 350, and the Chamber Hall accommodates about 70 spectators.

The building was constructed in 1733 as a residence for the Liechtenstein family. The city acquired it later and transformed it into a significant cultural venue.

The name comes from the music hall where performances have always taken place. Today it remains a gathering place where the city's residents and visitors come together for concerts and theatre productions.

The building sits in the center of town at Zelný Square and is easy to reach on foot. Check the schedule before visiting, as performances and opening times change regularly throughout the year.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed here in 1767 with his sister, bringing great fame to the place. This concert was a defining moment in the building's history and attracted renowned musicians for years to come.
