The cemetery contains 1700 preserved tombstones spread across 4473 square meters, featuring inscriptions and decorative elements from different historical periods.
Established in 1613 as the second Jewish burial ground in the town, this cemetery remained active until the end of the nineteenth century.
The tombstones display both Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements, representing the artistic traditions of Jewish memorial practices in Bohemia.
Visitors need to schedule their visit at least one week in advance by contacting the cemetery administration at +420 416 810 761.
The oldest tombstone, transferred from the first cemetery and dated 1611, stands among hundreds of other monuments spanning nearly three centuries.
