Plešivec, Mountain summit in Karlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic
Pleßberg is a mountain peak in the Karlovy Vary Region that rises to approximately 1028 meters (3372 feet). From the summit, you can see across the Ore Mountains and the surrounding countryside.
The mountain area was used for resource extraction from the Middle Ages, with mining activities dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries. This mining tradition shaped the region's economic development.
The mountain hosts numerous winter sports competitions and summer mountain biking events, drawing participants from the Czech Republic and neighboring Germany.
Several marked hiking trails lead to the restored observation tower at the summit. Parking is available near the main trailheads.
The Stoneman Miriquidi mountain biking route uses this summit as a key checkpoint with specialized trails for different skill levels. The route attracts riders from across the region.
