Ledeč nad Sázavou Castle

Ledeč nad Sázavou Castle sits on a limestone ridge overlooking the Sázava River, dominated by a tower reaching 32 meters in height that commands views across the surrounding landscape and town. The Renaissance hall contains ceiling decorations created using the sgraffito technique, a distinctive artistic method that reveals the layers of plaster beneath. These preserved designs offer rare glimpses into the skilled craftsmanship that flourished in this space.
