Červená hora, Mountain summit in Hrubý Jeseník range, Czech Republic.
Roter Berg is a summit in the Hrubý Jeseník mountain range reaching approximately 1,333 meters elevation. The peak is covered by mixed forests dominated by spruce trees, with several open clearings breaking up the woodland across the slopes.
The mountain historically marked the boundary between Silesia and Moravia. A historical triangulation station was established at the peak to record its precise elevation for mapping purposes.
A legend tells of a monk who survived a night on the mountain by drawing a protective circle against wild animals, giving it the name Red Mountain.
There are no marked hiking trails leading directly to the summit itself. Visitors can reach surrounding walking paths from the Červenohorské sedlo mountain pass, which serves as the main access point to the massif.
The mountain consists of four distinct peaks, with the main summit surrounded by three secondary elevations. This multi-peaked structure makes the true highest point less obvious to identify without careful navigation.
