Nové Zámky

Nové Zámky is a classical château in Nesovice that began as a Baroque structure and was substantially altered in the early twentieth century. The building shows layers of different construction periods, with older stonework combined with newer systems installed to modernize it for contemporary living.

The estate originated in the seventeenth century when a Scottish military officer received it as a reward for his service, establishing the original Baroque structure. By the twentieth century, a textile factory owner acquired the property and commissioned architects to remake it into a modern residence.

The estate reflects how different social classes and professions left their mark, from military figures to industrial entrepreneurs who shaped daily life here. Walking through it, you can sense how the building evolved to meet the needs of each era.

The château is located in the eastern Czech region and can be reached by walking from the village center. It is advisable to check ahead about visiting conditions, as access may be limited depending on the season or special circumstances.

The renovation was directed by two respected architects who created a blend of older and contemporary styles throughout the interior. They incorporated innovative systems like internal electrical wiring, which was considered forward-thinking for that period.
