Tisovský vrch, Mountain summit in northwestern Ore Mountains, Czech Republic

Peindlberg (Tisovský vrch) rises to 977 m north of Nejdek above the village of Tisová, on the steep fall of the Ore Mountains toward the Ohře valley. On its granite summit stands a 24 m lookout tower of granite blocks, 5.1 × 5.1 m at the base, with 111 steps inside and a platform at 18 m.

The name's origin has not been studied in depth; it may come from the German dialect word "die Beunde", meaning an enclosed piece of land. The 26-metre stone lookout tower was built in 1895–97 by the Neudeker Erzgebirgszweigverein, inaugurated on 1 September 1897, and declared a cultural monument in 1995.

The best time to visit is from spring through fall when the trails are dry and easy to walk on. Be sure to bring warm clothing as weather at higher elevations can change quickly.

The viewing platform sits at 1,003 metres above sea level, so standing on it puts visitors exactly 1,000 metres above the Adriatic when the older summit height of 974 metres is used. The tower's 1.3-metre-thick stone walls rest on a granite crag about ten metres high.
