Vlašim Castle is a Renaissance structure sitting on a hilltop with an octagonal tower as its most distinctive feature. The buildings maintain consistent height throughout, creating a unified appearance typical of 16th-century design.
The castle was founded in 1303 with Gothic features. During the 16th century, it underwent complete redesign to become a Renaissance palace.
