The Kryštofovo Údolí astronomical clock features two windows displaying twelve moving apostles and other figures that appear during hourly chimes.
Martin Chaloupka initiated the construction of this astronomical clock in 2007, collaborating with local craftsmen to position it in a former substation tower.
The clock represents the third astronomical timepiece in the Czech Republic, following the ones in Old Town Square Prague and Olomouc.
Visitors can observe the clock mechanisms between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM by paying an entrance fee of 0.50 euros or 12 Czech crowns.
In 2011, the clock received an enhancement that displays moon phases and zodiac signs, transforming it into a functional astronomical observatory.
