The Deer Gully extends across 8 hectares within Prague Castle grounds, featuring grassy slopes, trees, and the flowing Brusnice Stream through its center.
During the 14th century reign of Charles IV, the gully transformed from a defensive barrier into a designated hunting ground supplying meat to castle kitchens.
The gully forms an essential component of Prague Castle Gardens, reflecting centuries of European garden design and urban planning developments.
Located in Prague 1, the gully offers walking paths connecting different sections of Prague Castle, with separate upper and lower areas for exploration.
The area contains an artificial cave, a former bear handler residence, and Masaryk's Look-out Point, constructed between 1922 and 1924.
