Český Krumlov Castle is a fortress perched on a rocky promontory above the Vltava River, made up of forty buildings arranged around five courtyards. The castle was founded in 1253 and passed through several powerful families, including the Rosenbergs, Eggenbergs, and Schwarzenbergs, each leaving their mark on the site. It became state property in 1950, transforming from a private noble residence into a publicly accessible monument.
