Slunečná is the highest summit of the Slunečná Highlands, part of the Nízký Jeseník range, rising to 802 m. It lies 2.5 km northeast of Dětřichov nad Bystřicí and is built of Lower Carboniferous greywacke. The summit is a small clearing with tree stumps, marked by a geodetic point with red-and-white posts about 55 m northeast of the top.

Slunečná is the highest summit of the Slunečná Highlands within the Nízký Jeseník, built of Lower Carboniferous greywacke. Its German name Sonnenberg appears in historical records, and the summit is listed in the Crown of the Sudetes. A geodetic point numbered 17 stands about 55 m northeast of the top, marked by two steel posts painted in white and red bands.

Slunečná lies in the Nízký Jeseník range and belongs to the Korona Sudetów, a list of the highest peaks of the Sudetes. The Czech Tourist Club marks two hiking routes across the mountain, one from Dětřichov nad Bystřicí and one from Moravský Beroun via the Panské louky reserve.

The summit is accessible via marked hiking trails from nearby villages, with the main route taking roughly two hours. Sturdy footwear and weather protection are recommended since conditions at the top can be exposed and changeable.

The summit is a double peak: a secondary top, Slunečná–S, lies about 410 m northeast at 797 m, separated from the main summit by a shallow saddle at 794 m. Near the main top stands a geodetic point marked 800.24 m, flanked by two steel posts painted in white and red horizontal stripes.
