Hraniční meandry Odry, Natural monument at Czech-Polish border near Bohumín, Czech Republic.
The protected area spans 126 hectares along the Odra River, featuring natural wetlands and forests between 193 and 198 meters above sea level.
The Moravian-Silesian Region established this natural monument in November 2006, following joint conservation initiatives between Czech Republic and Poland.
The educational trail includes 17 stops with information boards that present the river ecosystem and connect hiking paths from both Czech and Polish territories.
Visitors can explore the area through a 9-kilometer trail system, with sections suitable for hiking but requiring caution during wet conditions.
The unregulated river section creates natural channel changes that gradually modify the international border between Czech Republic and Poland over time.
