Ševčinský důl

Ševčinský důl is a mining complex in Příbram with underground shafts, surface buildings, and equipment used for extracting silver ore. The site extends several hundred meters deep and displays the infrastructure from different periods of extraction.

The mine began in medieval times and significantly contributed to Bohemia's economic development through silver ore production. Over the centuries, extraction methods and technologies were continuously improved until production eventually ceased.

This place reflects generations of mining tradition in the region, and the way the structures were built shows the craftsmanship of the workers. The preserved facilities tell the story of daily life underground and the importance of this work to the local community.
