Karlovy lázně, Nightclub in Old Town, Czech Republic

Karlovy lázně is a five-story nightclub in a building along the Vltava River, with each floor dedicated to different music genres and entertainment spaces. The rooms are individually designed to create separate areas within a single venue.

The building was erected around the turn of the 15th century near the Charles Bridge as the Old Town Mills. It long served as a spa, later housed a café and the editorial office of journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský, burned down in 1848, and after standing empty was converted into a club that opened on 1 December 1999.

Each floor presents a different musical experience, from mainstream hits to hip-hop and dance music, drawing both local residents and international visitors. The space allows people to move between rooms and discover various sonic environments throughout the evening.

The venue sits in a central location within the Old Town and is easily accessible on foot. The different floors are connected by stairs and elevators, allowing easy movement between areas.

The building began as the Old Town Mills at the turn of the 15th century, and mosaic-stone pictures and artworks built into it then still decorate the club's interior walls. It later housed a café and the editorial office of journalist Karel Havlíček Borovský.
