Smetana-Museum, Museum building near Charles Bridge in Old Town, Czech Republic.

The museum occupies a neo-Renaissance building with sgraffito decorations by Josef Ženíšek and Mikoláš Aleš on the right bank of Vltava River.

The Society for the Erection of a Memorial to Bedřich Smetana founded the museum in 1926, which opened to the public in 1936 with President Beneš present.

The exhibition space presents manuscripts, photographs, personal items, and an electronic system for visitors to listen to excerpts of Smetana's musical compositions.

The museum welcomes visitors daily except Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with regular admission at 70 CZK and reduced tickets at 50 CZK.

The collection includes Smetana's earbone, a physical reminder of the composer's complete deafness during his final creative period.
