The Saint Ivo statue stands on the south side of Charles Bridge, presenting a figure holding a book while wearing clerical attire.
Created by sculptor Matthias Braun in 1711, this sandstone monument forms part of the thirty statues installed along Charles Bridge between 1683 and 1714.
Saint Ivo of Kermartin represents the patron saint of lawyers, serving as a symbol of justice and protection for orphans, widows, and poor people.
The statue remains accessible to visitors throughout the year as part of the Charles Bridge pedestrian walkway, with interpretive signs providing information.
This sculpture stands nearest to the eastern end of Charles Bridge, marking the entrance point for visitors arriving from Old Town Square.
